Our core programme, proven to achieve truly amazing results in health and fitness.  Our CrossFit classes are coached, group sessions that are accessible to all levels of fitness and ability.  Each of our workouts can be scaled and class sizes are limited to ensure the very best attention from our coaches.

       TEENS

Fitness by StealthOur CrossFit Teens classes are a fun way for kids and teens aged 11 to 16 to workout. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children.

           WEIGHTLIFTING

Our Weightlifting Club is British Weightlifting (BWL) affiliated, operated within our CrossFit facility.  BWL accredited coaches run focused sessions perfecting the mechanics of the Olympic Lifts; Snatch and Clean & Jerk.  Our Weightlifting Club is open to members and non-members.

       GYMNASTICS

Our gymnastics specialty class concentrates on improving your technique and efficiency in the core gymnastic movements commonly seen in CrossFit WODs. Our focus is to help you improve strength, technique and flexibility.

       MOBILITY

Our Mobility class is specifically designed to compliment our CrossFit training programme.  Learn and perfect the correct dynamic stretch sequence to improve stability, optimise your range of motion, increase athletic performance, and promote recovery.

//WELCOME TO SIERRA LIMA CROSSFIT

We are and have been an official CrossFit affiliated facility since 2017, and are a part of the wider global CrossFit community.

Our facility is different to mainstream commercial gyms. We have minimal machines, as we believe in training you to move your body naturally, not move your body around a machine. We use Olympic weights and barbells, pull up rigs, kettlebells,  plyometric boxes, medicine balls, skipping ropes, dumbbells and other equipment that teach us to move our bodies functionally (naturally) rather than teach us to move the way of a machine.

Our facility is coached by qualified coaches with a wealth of knowledge, training experience and accreditation's from CrossFit Inc. and British Weight Lifting, the National Governing Body for Olympic Weight Lifting and Paralympic Powerlifting in Great Britain.

SIERRA LIMA CROSSFIT is Leigh's state of the art CrossFit box.  We pride ourselves on providing the very best fitness programme to suit all athletes from beginners through to advanced competitors.

//SLC HIIT CLASSES

SLC HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)Classes are an enhanced form of interval training.  An exercise strategy alternating periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. SLC HIIT Classes are ideal for those wanting a cardiovascular workout without the technical barbell or gymnastic movements typically programmed in a CrossFit class.

WORLD CLASS FITNESS IN 100 WORDS

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.
